This painting is inspired from a hike in Febuary 2019, dramatic light after a storm is not unusual, but breaking out while the sky was still heavy with snow clouds is not that common, at least to catch as it so fleeting, inside 10 minutes it was gone..
I was really taken with the idea of the light painting the distant fells in an orange glow, and against that dark slate sky it was pretty spectacular.
Framed in a lovely dark grey wood frame with a white inner slip to match the mood and colour.
